General Information

This is a prototype Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) to calculate Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) risk for overweight and obese women in the first to early second trimester.

Important note:The current version is only for academic use and benchmarking. Further validation of the system is required. Please do not use it in a clinical setting.

System Description

This system is based on machine learning technique and the PEARS dataset. Three models were designed for different use cases: a model including fasting biomarkers for theoretical risk assessment, a model including routine blood test results for use in a clincial setting, and a model without any blood test for remote use.

Note that this system was developed using data collected from a white population, predominantly white Irish women.
